Black Ice

I remember looking for the clearest, black ice to skate on. Some would have white swirls like a cloud was flash frozen in the middle and other areas would still have some roots or twigs frozen close to the edge. You could take a real tumble if you weren't careful. One of my favorite skating memories is when we went to east bridgewater with Lou's family and we'd skate under the bridge, light a fire & drink hot chocolate. Ice skating is one of the activities I miss the most, that & bike riding. It must be the exhilaration from the speed that I go for. (Ya think!)
